My newest book

Ministry has changed a lot since I began my pastorate in 1981. The challenges facing people have grown much more intense requiring churches to take a look at the ways they now minister to people. We simply do not know what some people are dealing with when they close their front doors. They may be facing violence, addictions, thoughts of suicide, sexual and/or gender confusion, poverty, racism or many other dangers that threaten to overwhelm them. This is why I wrote my latest book Is Your Church Ready for Ministry in the Coming Decade?

I address the above issues, and others, in a way that I pray promotes understanding and gives church leaders the tools they need to help persons in their congregations and communities achieve victory over these challenges. Many churches are not comfortable talking about such things, but if we do not give people biblical answers to their problems why are we here? One reason so many believe the church is irrelevant to their lives is because we haven't been speaking out on these issues.

The decision to publish this book as an eBook was intentional. It is difficult to find publishers today willing to publish a book unless the author has a huge social media following. I also felt that the need for this book was great right now, and releasing it as an eBook makes it available immediately. I hope you'll follow the link to Amazon and check out the book.
